1. Been to the movies to see the Dark Knight!
Loooooooooooooved that movie!! Heath Ledger was amazing as the Joker- fantastic!!
2. Went to Anya's Art Exhibition
Adam's sister Anya is an artist who is just beginning her career and she had an exhibition to show case all of her work. Ill ask Jax for the website so you can have a look at her work- its so beautiful!! Because I am a bum who doesnt have a job, I went and helped her set up during the day and then hung out while the exhibition kicked off that night! It was a great success and it was really cool to be apart of it!
3. Been to a Pub Theatre Show!!
I went along with Jax and Adz to the White Bear Theatre which is a cute little theatre at the back of a pub to see a production called 'Cosi'. Set in the early 70's, Così is the story of Lewis, a fresh-faced theatre director, in his first job: directing patients in a Melbourne mental asylum in Mozart's Così fan Tutte. But no one sings or speaks Italian. Meanwhile, pressure on Lewis from his university friends to organise Australia's largest Vietnam War protest makes him question where true madness lies: inside or outside the asylum. Mark Little is the main character and you all might know him as Joe Mangel from Neighbours!! It was a great production and I loved it!!
4. Have moved into the new place!!
So its now been a week and a half since I moved into the new place and its going alright so far. My house mates are... different... interesting to say the least. Some of them are pot heads (sorry Mum!!) not that that matters I guess! Some of them can be untidy at times, but Im happy to say that all the messy ones have just been evicted and have to move out by the weekend! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! So now that the house is going to be nice and tidy, the landlord has bought us a new fridge, is painting the inside of the house, putting in a new bathroom and putting new floors in throughout the house. WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! So with all of that getting fixed up, the house is going to be very spiffy!! So once the 2 italian girls and the 2 south african boys leave, there will be us 2 aussie girls, a spanish couple, a german dude and a pommy dude! Our room is great- have bought a pink bedspread and set myself up nicely with my photos all over the walls, just like home!! Once the painting has been finished of the house, ill take some photos and put them up here to show you all!!
5. Registered for the dole :(
The single most humiliating moment of my ENTIRE life. I was soooo embarrassed to walk into Job Centre Plus but I spose it had to be done... I suppose i should feel lucky i can get it... thanks dad for being born in Scotland so i could get a UK passport and therefore freeload off another government!! Hahaha!!! Hopefully this wont be for too long, Im so keen to start working!
6. Been homesick a little...
As some of you may know, little B-ritt has been in hospital with glandular fever on and off for the past few weeks and she just spent another 6 days in hospital :( She is getting much better now but she is feeling tired and exhausted all the time :( So its been hard knowing she isn't well and I can't be there to keep her company.. J has been amaaaaaaaazing though- she has called mum and Britts everyday even sometimes more than once a day to see how she is doing and she organised for flowers to be sent to the hospital for Britts from me and her. So thoughtful of you Degioia!! J and Manda went to visit Britts in hospital before they left for their Contikis too which was so lovely of them, thank you so much girlys!!
7. Went and saw Taking Back Sunday!!
Sooooooo... 7 weeks in London has gone by and Kelly has seen no bands... something wrong with this picture? I THINK SO!!! Courts came with me to see one of my favourite New York bands! I have seem them once at Taste of Chaos in Adelaide and loved them so definitely didnt want to miss the chance of seeing them again! They didnt disappoint this time either, I loooooooooooooooooooooved them!!! They were supported by a little band called This City which is a little UK band from Brighton, who actually werent too bad! They played for just over an hour and I loved every second of it and I'm pretty sure Courts did too!!! We met some cool Londoners there too- Jim and Amy- had lots of fun with them!!

8. No luck on the job front :(
Been to more meetings with recruitment agencies for planning and admin jobs with no luck, getting really frustrated and down about it so dont really wanna talk about it, so ill skip quickly past this one. When i eventually find a job... you will definitely all know about it!!
9. The night at the Vodka Bar and Adam's Birthday!!
I had work drinkys with Jax work peeps again last Friday before Manda and J touched down in London town. One of the boys Jax works with Adam was celebrating his birthday so we helped him!! We had a great night out- found a cool little vodka bar where we consumed a fair number of flavoured vodka shots, one of my favourite being the chocolate vodka shot! Mmmm!! It was yummy!!!! Because I was going straight from drinks to meet Manda and J at their hotel, I had my backpack with clothes in it for the weekend. Adam offered to carry it and decided it was too heavy! He looks like a snail!!

After a few too many vodka shots, i hopped on the tube to go to meet Manda and J at their hotel!!10. Hanging with Manda and J in London Town!!
As you can imagine a very excited (and slightly drunky) Kelly was extremely excited to see Manda and J when they finally got to their hotel in London (after a 4 hour flight delay and an exhausting transfer)!! By the time we actually saw each other it wasnt until around 11pm-ish. There were a few tears when we saw each other, yes yes lots of tears and excitement! They were pretty buggered from their flight so we just went to Maccas and got them something to eat, headed to the hotel and went to sleep! Saturday morning we headed into Leicester Square and were gonna do the tourist thing, but decided against it. Instead we headed to a cute little pub for some lunch, some cider and a good old catch up! We sat and chatted for aaaaaaaaaaaaages and it was soooooo great!! Then we did a little bit of shopping and headed back to the hotel. The girls had a contiki meeting at 7pm, so we went to that, got some Indian for dinner and then headed straight to bed! I had to be up at 4:15am to pick Kate up from the airport and the girls had to be up at 4:30am to be ready to leave for their contikis by 6am so we were all wanting an early night!! I had such a great time with them, just being in their company was sooooooo great and something i have really missed! They are back in London on the 21st September for about 5 days so ill get to spend more time with them then and I cant wait!!!

11. Received an AWESOME care package from Mum and Dad and also one special one from Cockie!

I was so so so excited!!! It is soooooooo great to have normal yummy lollies because all the lollies and chocolate here is quite ordinary. I dove straight in for the Milky Ways (one of my favourites!) and currently only have one left, yes i have been in a bit of a pig and together me and Kate have eaten the whole packet! Im saving the last one though!!Thanks heaps Mum and Dad and Cockie- you are fabulous and I am soooo lucky!! Thank you a million times over!!
12. KATE ARRIVED IN LONDON!!
So on Sunday 24th August at 6am.... Kate touched down in London town!!! I headed to the airport to meet her and was very excited when she walked out those doors at the airport!! And she was wearing a heaps good tshirt!! We can be twinnies!!!! It has been great having Kate here- we are all set up now in our place and its feeling a lot more "homey" now which is just what we both need! Soooo great to have you here Kateus!!
13. Went to Notting Hill Carnival!!
On Monday 25th August it was a bank holiday (public holiday) in London so me and Kate headed to the Notting Hill Carnival. Notting Hill Carnival is an annual event which takes place on the streets of Notting Hill and is led by members of the Caribbean population. Its basically a big carnival with floats and music and people dancing. In the end we joined in with all the fun and got behind one of the floats and started dancing along with everyone else!! We had a great day and even got our faces painted!! Here's some photos from our day!!

14. We're going to Dublin!!!Yep thats right!!! Me, Kate and Jackie are going to Dublin!! WOOHOOOOOOO!! We were lucky enough to score some 10 pound flights so it ended up costing us 20 pound return each!! We leave on 2nd October and return back to London on 6th October! We're very excited!! It will be such a fun girls weekend away!!! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!
Well thats about all the updates for now! The upcoming week we have a few things happening one in particular being Jackie's birthday, so will keep you posted on all of that!!
