Ben Lee Concert!!!

First things first.... Today marks 9 months since my arrival in London!! AHHHH!!! WOW can your believe how fast those 9 months have gone?!!!

Secondly... tonight me, Byron and Nicole went and saw Ben Lee!! Byron and Nicole are both with the phone network O2 and through a competition through O2, they both won 2 tickets each!! O2 were holding 3 concerts called 'Your Country Live' (see logo below). Tonight there was a New Zealand Band playing, a South African band playing and of course our very own Aussie Ben Lee!! Us Aussies, New Zealanders and SAFA's always get grouped together over here!!!

I have been sick as a dog all week with some coldy thing- yes yes another one!! I seem to always get the head cold, chesty type viruses that go around, aghhhhh sucks!! So the last thing I actually felt like doing tonight was going to this concert, but I'm very glad that I went, even though we didn't get home til really late and I was super sleepy!

The first band was a South African Band called- The Parlotones. They were pretty good- had a few good songs! And they were pretty emo too!! Haha!!

The second band well duo were New Zealands; The Rubys. And they were SOOOOOO BAD!!! They just played bird noises and other weird sounds and it was soooo painful to listen to. Everyone cheered when they announced their last song- they didn't even play their entire set out cause they weren't getting a repsonse from the crowd!! Pretty funny!!!

Inside the venue- it was a smaller venue (sort of smililar to HQ for us Adelaideans!) at the O2 Arena- obviously wasnt the massive arena where we saw Fall Out Boy a couple of weeks ago!

Then it was time for Ben Lee to hit the stage and he was absolutely BRILLIANT!!!! He joked around with the audience and had everyone in fits of laughter! He played a brilliant set and we all absolutely loved it!!!!

Here was Mr Giant Tall man who decided to take position right in front of me! I swear he was twice my height- its not fair, tall people should stay at the back so us short people can see!!!!!! Anywhos, we had a great night despite me feeling so sick and snotty and gross. Best thing was- when we walked out, all 3 of us were given a free Ben Lee tshirt!!! A free gig that was fantastic and a free tshirt!! Wow it was our lucky night!!!!
