Today we were all so excited to see Brisbane band THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT!! The boys came to meet me after work and we headed to the pub for a couple of drinks before the gig started. The gig was only a 5 minute walk from my work so it was quite handy!!
We arrived at the gig half way through the first support bands set...
Waiting for the 2nd support band to come on....
Here they are..... the 2nd support band....
Very attractive Bateson....
The band was quite boring... so we headed back to the bar for another drinky.....
Then we wait for the Butterfly Effect!
Good shot Bateson...

Then they appear!!!!
Ahhhh Clint (the lead singer) in all his hotness, ahhhhhhh :)
At this point it was 2nd song in... we were right in the front but then everyone was completely out of control, jumping around and being absolutely ridiculous. I've been in mosh pits before but this one was insane and was in such a small space. I got so frustrated that I tipped the rest of my drink on one of the boys that kept trying to jump on top of me and got out of there. Byron followed me, but Matt stayed amongst it. Me and Byron were standing around the edge when Matt comes out of the crowd holding his arm. He was rushed behind stage so someone could have a look at it. After a couple of minutes no one had reappeared so I went to investigate. Turned out they had called an ambulance because they suspected something was broken. I ran out and grabbed Byron and we went back behind stage to wait for the ambulance. Apparently what had happened was that a guy tried to crowd surf and Matt wasnt ready for it. Matt fell to the ground and the guy fell on top of him. SUCH A LOSER.
We waited for about half an hour for the ambulance and once they arrived they gave Matt same gas to suck on for the pain. Me and Byron hopped in the ambulance with Matt and headed of to the University College Hospital which was only a 5 minute drive away.
When we arrived the put Matt in a wheelchair and put his arm in a sling while we waited for someone in accident and emergency to look at him. Matt had some xrays done and then we had to play the waiting game. Here's Matt patiently waiting for his results.... Poor Matty :(
At about 2am the doctor called him in as his xray results were back. The damage was a fractured collar bone. He said they couldnt do anything for him until the swelling had gone down which they expected would take about a week. He gave him so anti-inflamatries and sent him on his way with an appointment to come back and see him 1 week later.

We ended up getting home around 3:30am after hopping in a black cab to get home. (And i was up at 7am to go to work!!)
The doctor game Matt instructions to basically not move for the next week until he came back to see him at the fracture clinic. He needed to rest and make sure he didnt put himself in situations where it could be bumped and damaged further.
I am SO ANGRY at the guy who did this- he will never know the trouble and pain he caused. All I know is that karma will get him BAD one day for what he's done. What goes around comes around!
