Roadtrip to BATH and Swindon!!!

Today me and Matt were up early and on the tube to Jackie and Adam's place- we were off on a roadtrip to Bath and Swindon!!! Adam's mate Merc came with us as well- he lived in bath for a few years, so he volunteered to be our tour guide for the day! We had a good old car ride there- loud music and silly conversations! The journey took an extra hour than it should have because it was a long weekend in London (May Day Bank Holiday- long weekend- quite odd to have a public to celebrate the first day of May, but hey I wasnt complaining, I had a 3 day weekend!!) and it seemed as though half of London was escaping out of the city for it and out to the beautiful English countryside! We made it to Bath by lunch time, parked the car and set out to find a pretty place to have our picnic!

I can't remember what this building was called but I loved the way it curved its way around the Royal Parks, sooooooo pretty!!!

Jackie organised the most amazing and yummy picnic- yummy rolls, cheeses, dips and crisps and she cooked meatballs and chorizzo AND made a chocolate cake with rolo inside, mmmm delicious!!!! We all stuffed ourselves silly!!!!

After lunch we went for a bit of a wander around Bath.... This is a shopping mall...

Adam's friend Merc, needed to visit a music shop there that he used to work at so we all went in for a bit of a look. This is where I fell in love with a pink guitar which I made Jackie take a photo of me with!! Hehe!!!

We then left the shop and not 10 metres down the road I decided I wanted to go back and buy it!! It was just too cute and it was pink and I wanted it!! Jackie and Matt were trying to convince me that I wouldnt use it even though I promised them I wanted to learn how to play!! But I won!!! Merc offered to go back to the shop and try and get me a good price for it seen as he knows the owner, 10 minutes later he came back with my guitar, a case and a 'learn how to play guitar book' for me!!! YAYYYY!! And it only cost me £25!!! ABSOLUTE BARGAIN!!!!!! I proudly carried my guitar case around Bath for the rest of the afternoon!!! Hehehehe!!!

For the rest of our afternoon/ evening in Bath Jackie took the photos because my camera battery ran out and I had to find a shop which sold them, so I have to get the photos from her and add them on here. We went and visited the Roman Baths and had a look around the historical parts of Bath- it is just such a pretty pretty place, I LOVE IT!!!!!

We ended our Bath trip with a beer at a really cute little pub- we had perfect weather for our day- sunshine all day, although it did end up a little bit chilly... Jackie and I sat and had another drink at the pub while the boys went and picked up the car and then swung by and picked us girls up!

Then it was off to Swindon!! We had to go through Swindon to get home, so Adam suggested we stop for a bit. Adam and Merc had a couple of school friends there they wanted to visit while we were over that way and Matt's girlfriend was born there , so he wanted to check it out as well!!

After a wander around we ended up at a cute little bar to meet Adam and Merc's mate. Here's Adam and Matt....

We had a few drinks and a few cocktails..... (Long island ice tea= Jackie and Matt and Cosmopolitan= me!!)

Then we realised that time was getting away from us, so it was time to head back to London town. We piled back in the car, not before stocking up on leftover picnic food for the ride home!! We had a feast in the car on the way back and chats and finally got home around 2am. Pheeeeeeeeeewwww what a day!!! We had a really fun day and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Bath!!! I want to move there!!!!!

As soon as our heads touched the pillow we were out like a light!! We had to be up early the next morning as we were off to Brighton the next day!!
